Warehouse

Mobile computers Chainway coordinate receiving, picking, storage, inventory tracking and inspection workflows for a smarter warehouse.

Storage

A warehouse is a storage facility that receives goods before distributing them to consumers or other companies. Warehouse management involves the efficient organization of the various stages in the process: product reception and storage, inventory management, order sorting and preparation, and dispatch to the final destination. Precise, optimized management is essential to guarantee the profitability of the supply chain, requiring rigorous recording of information at every stage.

Chainway mobile computers make it possible to switch from manual paper-based management to automated electronic data capture and transmission. Running on Android and incorporating a 1D/2D barcode scanner, UHF/HF RFID reader, GPS geolocation system, high-performance camera and 4G/3G/Wi-Fi wireless connectivity, these devices improve employee accuracy and productivity when managing goods in the warehouse. Thanks to real-time data transfer, warehouse management becomes more intelligent and connected, offering greater visibility of recorded information. This speeds up processing times and optimizes replenishment management. During shipment, Chainway's telematics-equipped on-board computers monitor driver behavior, vehicle status and goods condition in real time, guaranteeing safe transport.

Warehouse Management

Warehouse operators can quickly identify the quantity and type of goods received by scanning their 1D/2D barcodes or RFID tags using Chainway mobile computers. This information is then automatically transmitted to the warehouse server via 4G/3G or Wi-Fi connectivity. During put-away, these devices intelligently allocate each product to the most appropriate storage location. In addition, the picking route is generated and sent to the Chainway Mobile computers , enabling employees to retrieve the required products in the shortest possible time.

Shipping

When loading orders, employees scan the barcodes or RFID tags on pallets and parcels to ensure that they are placed on the right truck. Each vehicle is equipped with a Chainway on-board computer to ensure safe and efficient transport. This device features an OBD port to transmit vehicle data, GPS to locate the vehicle, multiple cameras to monitor driver behavior and load status, and 4G connectivity to transfer all information in real time to the management platform. As a result, fleet administrators benefit from enhanced visibility of all shipping operations.
